School Board

I’m headed on a new journey.  I’ll be running for School Board in April, and I need to collect 50 signatures to get on the ballot.  I want to have a hand in the direction of the school my children will be at for the next 14 years and help continue the fine tradition of Unity schools.

I’ve lived in the area most of my life, and I’ve lived west of Sadorus, in the Unit 7 School District for the last 11 years.  My wife and I currently have 5 kids in school and one that will start Kindergarten next year.

While I don’t have issues with the fine job the current school board has been doing, I want to take a more active role in the future of our school district.  The school board has shepherded our district through some difficult financial times and I’d like to continue the trend.

I believe that our school district should be run in a fiscally responsible way; with an eye toward the current as well as the future needs of the district.  I’m a technology guy, and I believe that the school district has done a fine job adopting technology in the schools, but there are always advances in technology that can help us communicate with students and parents.  Overall, I want a district that has the welfare and education of our children at heart.  I’m asking you for your support now and your vote in April.

If you have any questions for me, or if I can count on you to sign my ballot petition, drop me a line.
